Guan Hanquing

Guan Hanquing (1225–1305) was a leading Yuan Dynasty physician and
intellectual, holding the title of Chancellor of the Royal Academy of
Medicine. Renowned as a playwright of classical Chinese theater, he has
been hailed as the “Shakespeare of the Orient.” Despite his immense reputation,
these are some of the first translations of his work into English.
