Menna Elfyn is one of Wales’ leading poets, and has won two Welsh Arts Council awards. She has published six volumes of poetry. Her book, Eucalyptus, was the first book of contemporary poetry to be published in Wales in both Welsh and English. She has been imprisoned twice for language campaigns, and is working on a play about the silenced voices of the Mabinogi, to be presented at the National Eisteddfod (the Welsh National Literary and Arts Festival, the oldest of its kind in the world). She has worked on film projects for the BBC in Vietnam and London and has given reading all around the world. Her latest collections, Cell Angel and Blind Man’s Kiss, are both available from Bloodaxe Books.
