Kyun Ho (1569–1618) lived through the Japanese invasion and occupation
of Korea, which took place from 1592–1597, an event whose historical
ramifications continue to shape Korean political relations with Japan. Ho
was an ardent social reformer, and was finally executed due to his involvement
with the lower classes, and his activism to see more opportunities
afforded the poor.
